    Everything here in Vegas is covered in white stuff - but it's not snow, it's dust.

    Tons and tons of dust.

    And tumbleweeds. Seriously. Tumbleweeds just rolling down the street like it's 1812 instead of 2012.

              I love that (according to some self-righteous jerk), I'm not allowed to feel worried or scared by the Boston bombings, even though my husband works in Lynnfield (a suburb of boston). And my uneasy feeling literally WHEN it was happening was just "ramblings" by "people not involved".

                  Why the HELL would I be grateful for the chance to wake up, worry about getting to a windowless prison for 9 hours on time, work at a soul-sucking job making office jockey's more money than they deserve, and bust my ass to receive zero recognition?

                  I hate everyone I work for. Seriously, I hate them, and I will no longer show any of them any bit of kindness. It will be cold civility and one-word answers from now on.

                  Oh, and one of my bosses is a child molester. I found him on the online registry. I stare him down like a tiger eyeing prey every time I see him, and it makes him uncomfortable. This is my favorite thing to do at work. Let operation "Hatred of the Man" begin.

                  And it will not be pretty.

                    I've been sitting down this evening and doing some budgeting (thank you, mint.com) and cleaning up my budgets and stuff....aaannnnd, I just realized my Visa has been charging me for a protection plan I didn't ask for, for the last four months. Totaling over $200.

                    I know for a fact I'm not going to get that back. I just didn't notice it sooner because my credit is so high right now that there's not much difference between X dollars and X+200 dollars.

                      You should still try to get it back. I'm always surprised at the things my wife gets the credit card company's to do when she finds things like this.

                          Depending on the type of plan, you may also be able to take advantage of it. I've got one that was paying the minimum payments on my credit card for about 6 months after the game store I used to work at closed down. It was a convenient thing to have at the time. Plus, I use the thing once a year or so to dodge a payment because I get one free, no questions asked, "get out of payment card" per year.

                            Oh dear mangoes and pineapples, I love you so much. Why do you hate me in return?

                            (I get mouth ulcers from them. It's a common problem, and I could just not eat mangoes and pineapple, but... soooooo tasty and sensuous fruits, the denial would hurt worse).

                              Hey, I get something like that too! Mangoes, pineapple, strawberries (in high volume), or raspberries. My mouth gets unhappy with me, but I eat 'em anyhow!

                                I am guessing FRESH pineapple..very acidic..but oh so good. I have never had that problem with mangoes though.
