OK so here's the outcome of the mammogram situation. With some serendipitous twists & turns....Around the same time as the mammo, I had my ankles x-rayed and was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. Tuesday I got the bill for said x-rays, $450. out-of-pocket!! Follow-up mammo/ultrasound app't. was for Thurs. (yesterday). SO - when I got there, I asked for the cost of these tests, and the spot mammo was much less than the ultrasound, so I requested to do just that, and if needed do the other in a separate visit. Went in the room, put on the little gown, tech came in and we talked about why I was only doing 1 test. This led into her looking at my report/films, and she said the Dr. was concerned that I had so much scar tissue from a stereotactic biopsy....I said WAIT A MINUTE, IT WASN'T STEREOTACTIC, IT WAS INCISIONAL. She called the Dr. in, who apologized profusely and said I was just fine and could go home.
I burst into tears. Came home and had a glass of wine. (9:00 a.m. ) LOL
So, because of the ridiculously high price of my ankle stuff, and because I know enough to be dangerous, I escaped further COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY testing and another bill.
Of course I got the speech about how important it is to continue doing mammo's every year, etc. Yeah we'll see about that........

Can you hear me, Major Tom? I think I love you.
But they were doughnuts of darkness. Evil damned doughnuts, tainted by the spawn of darkness.... Which could obviously only be redeemed by passing through the fiery inferno of my digestive tract.

Life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.

"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."

I am so sorry about the ankle! On the other hand, I am very glad about you being able to catch what amounted to frivolous expensive tests. Good for you, sweetheart, good for you!!!

We all seem to be so absolutely pinned down with sadness.
THAT is my rant!
Hugs all around, smooches to those that are okay with me smooching them (LOL), and to the few that I'd really, REALLY like to get nekkid with in a hottub... wait...
Where the hell was I going with that?

Nearly fell off my chair a few minutes ago, caught myself on my desk with only my thumb. So I basically slammed my thumb on my desk with most of my weight behind it. I don't think I broke it though, seeing as I can move it and the pain is mostly gone now, but it hurt like crap!
I'm still gonna watch for swelling, just in case.
Trust is knowing someone or something well enough to have a good idea of their motivations and character, for good or for ill. People often say trust when they mean faith.
