Currently watching Steve Jobs movie. Eh. It's like a nightmare flat version of the late 80s. If you didn't know anything about him, you'd get a very skewed version of a tyrnat asshole. When he was just a genius asshole. Meh.
My Reddit thread has taken off. Probably going to hit the front page
"Turn, and look in the mirror. What do you see?" Her own brown eyes stared back at her until she was nothing but a blur.
"I see you. Red lipstick spread perfectly over your lush mouth, brown eyes that hold centuries upon centuries of secrets. A face made to entice even the most celibate of men and women alike. A red dress that sways and moves with your body, making you a temptation like no other."

The thing about Jobs was he did not invent anything, that came from the Woz. Jobs was a marketing guy,and he was very good at that, but not technical innovation. Woz built the first apple computer, cause he was a tech guy,and Jobs sold the world on its use.

don't stop the tears.let them flood your soul.
Watched The Martian with Matt Damon. Two thumbs up. Good flick, pretty solid science.
I often wish that I had done drugs in the '70s. At least there'd be a reason for the flashbacks. - Rick the Runesinger

For the Yule was upon them, the Yule; and they quaffed from the skulls of the slain,
And shouted loud oaths in hoarse wit, and long quaffing swore laughing again.

That's good to know about the science. I loved that movie but throughout the whole thing I kept wondering how accurate all the science was.
"I don’t want to come off as arrogant here, but I’m the best botanist on the planet."
After succeeding in making a potato farm on Mars, he gives himself some bragging rights.
I watched the new Star Wars movie last night. It was good. I enjoyed the visuals.

There's going to be a third movie. Not sure if they're splitting it in half like they did with the Hunger Games trilogy... The movies haven't been terribly close to the books (a lot of stuff is being left out) but I'm hoping it's to give the story line a better ending in the movies because the book ending sucks (I mean the divergent trilogy. Not the Hunger Games trilogy.)

Allegiant got terrible reviews. But we all know why

I'm intending to pretend that Divergent has no sequels unless I hear the ending to Allegiant is better than the book ending. I have no burning desire to see Allegiant's end on film.
Life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.
Yoda: Dark Rendezvous
"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."
