Life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.
Yoda: Dark Rendezvous
"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."
John Rowlands, The Grey King by Susan Cooper
"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."
I'm so tired. I've been up for 25 hours now, still sick, trying to reset my sleep schedule. I want to make it to at least 7PM before I crawl into bed and pass out.
That the worst part of sitting in some lines is listening to people whine.

First off when the moon rose tonight it was beautiful. Second I'm in the middle of nowhere in Arkansas and have managed to finally get a little service, and it's quiet and I love it. Something about being at a 95 year old women's house and listening to the grandfather clock chime the hour that's incredibly soothing. See you guys Sunday night. Also happy thoughts for Grandma Josie on celebrating her birthday tomorrow.

I'm thinking it's pretty awesome that, upon selecting our colours and bricks for the outside of the house, the brick company gave us a bottle of nice champagne and two glasses all wrapped up pretty in a bow.
My friend is having a '90s themed birthday party. I was putting together an outfit and thought "I have a couple of '90s-ish skirts" and then realised that one of them is so '90s' because it's FROM the '90s. I made it in 1999, from a pattern that was a couple of years older. I wore it to my first day of high school. Yikes.
I also realised that I have a bunch of makeup in the back of my drawer that I should definitely throw out, because it's from the '90s. No, I don't wear it...ew. It's just that I sort of forgot it was there.
I'm tired. My daughter was up till 9:30 (unusual) and I stayed up later for adult time. And she unfortunately decided she didn't want to sleep in. I might get her to go back to sleep in an hour or so but we'll see. ugh. 6 AM is too early.
We are what we are. Nothing more, nothing less. There is good and evil among every kind of people. It's the evil among us who rule now. -Anne Bishop, Daughter of the Blood
I wondered if he could ever understand that it was a blessing, not a sin, to be graced with more than one love.
It could be complicated; of course it could be complicated. And it opened one up to the possibility of more pain and loss.
Still, it was a blessing I would never relinquish. Love, genuine love, was always a cause for joy.

That's awesome!

OP, I have a strong sweet tooth, mainly for chocolate. Thank the Gods that I have a good metabolism, because I never get fat no matter how much I eat. I ate an entire Lil Caesars (Pizzeria in the US) Pretzel Crust pizza and never gained an ounce.
But what I am thinking about is I just joined this forum, why not share my knowledge and experiences, huh? I'm sure everyone deserves to hear about it if they want to.
