    Modeling and Painting

I've mentioned it from time to time, but many moons ago I used to work for Games Workshop. Even though I am no longer employed by them, and am sort of disenchanted with them as a company, I have to admit that they make some pretty good games and models. Anyhow, recently I decided to try my hand at it again, at least the hobby part of it, and wanted to share the results of such.

If you know anything about the games, you'll realize that this is not a purchasable kit. In fact, it is made up of parts from at least 20 different model kits. The inside is actually twenty 28mm round figure bases, strung together around a wire to create the pose, and then the model parts were attached to that frame. Following that, I filled in all of the empty space with epoxy putty, sculpting it so that they all blend together into one, slightly grotesque, shape. Finally, I took a few days to paint it all up and then to use model train basing material to finish it all off.
