Unless you are serious about starting a Demonolatry practice, or serious about being a Ceremonial Magician who might get smacked down by said conjured demons... you don't.
Of course, if you're talking about Hellenic daimon/daemons then that's outside of my sphere of experience and is best ask in the Hellenic board, as they are quite different to the Goetia and related Demonic pantheons.

There are many protections that must be in place and a containment for whatever spirit you summon. That containment is determined by the kind of demon you call. If you evoke the wrong demon for the containment you have you might end up in a very different reality. I was familiar with a few Ceremonial magicians and everything they wear and do is to protect themselves from the ravages of the spirits they use. even they will not summon some spirits because they are "difficult" to control. Familiarity is the key. when you know the "true" name of the spirit you can control it - it is not something the spirit enjoys.

Though I suppose it's mostly a matter of being very, very careful, and using lots of inert substances.
When I was very, very, young I thought about doing something like calling a demon to hurt the school bully but at 8 or 9 years old we have a lot of stupid thoughts. Thankfully we rarely act upon them.
Think of it this way. You call the local thug to beat someone up for you. What is it that will keep him from beating you up for bothering him?

My thoughts exactly. Even after years of training practitioners are careful about the spirits they deal with.
