I've been gathering more information about Satanism lately out of curiosity. I found it surprisingly fitting to my way of life. A lot just seems logic to me. I've been quietly following The Satanic Temple. They seem to align well with my atheistic beliefs. I might in fact join their lovely group.

I would call myself a LaVeyan Satanist. In labels that would be a hard atheist with naughty tendencies and soft caring of others belief systems.

The only thing that bothered me about the Satantic Temple was gathering at Pat Robertson's mother's grave to kiss and make her "gay in the afterlife". That's pretty awful to to something to try and force someone to change, and is just a step down from protesting at a funeral.

The Wesboro Baptist Church is many thousands of times worse, but it makes me think of instances were some people were converted to Mormonism after their death, or baptized Catholic while dying, despite their own faith or their lack of consent. It's not right.

I told a friend that if anyone converted me after death, I would pop out of my coffin.

I will ensure that whoever is responsible for my funeral will be contractually obliged to give me the pagan funeral and burial I want.

If the Satanic Temple did do that it's fairly despicable but for me, I don't really care. If I'm already dead it doesn't matter and if I'm basically unable to give consent I already consider such a "conversion" invalid. If a priest wants to give me a sponge bath before I go then whatever.

I will read this article later, unfortunately I must go get ready to get my next assignment from college, yay.
