    Dungeons And Dragons Discussion Thread

This thread is for Dungeons and Dragons Discussion. If your a fan of Dungeons and Dragons, you can discussed it here. Anyway, I thought about playing the Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition online and so far I'm planning to created a team of good-aligned Drows. 16 characters to be exact. Here are the teams:

    Fighters:

    Male Drow Fighter
    Female Drow Fighter/Cleric
    Male Drow Fighter/Rogue
    Female Drow Fighter/Wizard

    Clerics:

    Male Drow Cleric/Fighter
    Female Drow Cleric
    Male Drow Cleric/Rogue
    Female Drow Cleric/Wizard

    Rogues:

    Male Drow Rogue/Fighter
    Female Drow Rogue/Cleric
    Male Drow Rogue
    Female Drow Rogue/Wizard

    Wizards:

    Male Drow Wizard/Fighter
    Female Drow Wizard/Cleric
    Male Drow Wizard/Rogue
    Female Drow Wizard

Any suggestion for my team of drows?

If you're dealing with 3.5 level adjustment rules then drow primary spellcasters are suboptimal because they tend to be a level or two (I forget which) behind primary casters of equal experience from LA 0 races (humans, elves, dwarves, most gnomes, etc). They can still be dangerous but they're at a slight disadvantage that you'll need to compensate for with good choices everywhere else. Past that, get a good idea early on of what the multi-class spellcasters are gonna do. Gish builds can work but if you go at them haphazardly then you increase the odds of discovering that you have a crappy fighter who can cast weak spells instead of a good multi-class build.

Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

Yes I'm aware that drow usually in the spellcasting class. But I just thought other classes (non-spellcasting class that is) would be better as well.

I just started a 5e game with friends, and I'm playing a Blood Elf Druid.

Before that, I played a lot of Basic Fantasy, which is essentially watered down D&D.

So....I have to ask, what is the cannon support for an all-drow good guy team?
“You have never answered but you did not need to. If I stand at the ocean I can hear you with your thousand voices. Sometimes you shout, hilarious laughter that taunts all questions. Other nights you are silent as death, a mirror in which the stars show themselves. Then I think you want to tell me something, but you never do. Of course I know I have written letters to no-one. But what if I find a trident tomorrow?" ~~Letters to Poseidon, Cees Nooteboom

“We still carry this primal relationship to the Earth within our consciousness, even if we have long forgotten it. It is a primal recognition of the wonder, beauty, and divine nature of the Earth. It is a felt reverence for all that exists. Once we bring this foundational quality into our consciousness, we will be able to respond to our present man-made crisis from a place of balance, in which our actions will be grounded in an attitude of respect for all of life. This is the nature of real sustainability.”
    ~~Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee

"We are the offspring of history, and must establish our own paths in this most diverse and interesting of conceivable universes--one indifferent to our suffering, and therefore offering us maximal freedom to thrive, or to fail, in our own chosen way."
~~Stephen Jay Gould, Wonderful Life: The Burgess Shale and the Nature of History

"Humans are not rational creatures. Now, logic and rationality are very helpful tools, but there’s also a place for embracing our subjectivity and thinking symbolically. Sometimes what our so-called higher thinking can’t or won’t see, our older, more primitive intuition will." John Beckett

    Religions of good drow exist

Granted that's pre spellplague FR so it may not apply to D&D Online.
