Re: Not even sure where this giant can of worms goes.
"Christians don't build walls to keep out outsiders"
Says the man from a walled city state.

Re: Not even sure where this giant can of worms goes.
Hey! that's different. I'm not sure how or why but it must be different or the pope is not a Christian...
The pope is just a Catholic politician and Trump is just a political clown. Neither one of them has a real grasp on what it would take to fix what is going on in the US. Both of the major political party's in the USA have been fleecing the people for so long that most people don't even recognize it. As long as they get their handout they think all is well. People will continue to be that way until suddenly the government runs out of money to pay their debts and taxes run out because everyone wants their free lunch too and no one is working. It will then be a perfect socialist country with everyone equally poor.

Re: Not even sure where this giant can of worms goes.
I mean Trump isn't actually a Christian though. He worships money and all things gaudy. He just suddenly had this deep faith in God the moment he started running for President under the Party that represents religious conservatives. Coincidence?
Re: Not even sure where this giant can of worms goes.
Not at all. There is nothing Christian about Trump. Like Hillary Clinton, he will say anything to win votes. She tried to be the gun-toting Christian, and it failed. All the issues of pro-abortion or whatever are superficial. There are fundamental elements to being a Christian, and Trump doesn't fulfill one of them. Everything he does is to increase his own wealth and power.

Hilarious seeing a bunch of pagans debate who is Christian and who isn't.
Maybe Trump is a jerk, maybe the Pope is a jerk, but at least they are keeping their jerkiness in their own houses...
...until the self-righteous pagans drag them out into the street with their oh-so-wonderful paganish bright light intelligence - condemning them for things that (ya know) pagans NEVER do.
Woke up today not feeling especially pagan, nor especially proud of my fellow pagans.
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

Keeping it in their own houses? Trump wants to be President. The Pope runs a huge religious group. Not exactly private figures!
Lots of Pagans were raised in Christian denominations and came to Paganism as adults, so knowledge of Christian customs/rituals/rules isn't off the table.

Can you hear me, Major Tom? I think I love you.

Yeah, well, we just disagree because I'm a better pagan than you are...

Re: Not even sure where this giant can of worms goes.
I'm pretty sure I know what my grandfather would say if he were still alive...because I've heard a variation of it over my entire life:
"Its easy enough to say you are a Christian, and its easy enough to believe in Jesus, but you know a Christian by whether or not they love their neighbor as they love their god. If you see someone that does that, then they are Christ-like, even if they don't believe in him--and that is Christian enough for me."
Re: Not even sure where this giant can of worms goes.
I wasn't aware that someone couldn't judge the claims of another because they themselves don't claim the same thing.
If a man claimed to be a socialist, but promoted small state privatization, could I not call him out on his BS, even though I am not myself a socialist?
