    John Glenn of Ohio Has Died At 95

    Washington (AP) -- John Glenn, whose 1962 flight as the first U.S. astronaut to orbit the Earth made him an all-American hero and propelled him to a long career in the U.S. Senate, died Thursday. The last survivor of the original Mercury 7 astronauts was 95.

    In 1998 me and my mom went to Florida and watch the shuttle launch where he became the oldest man to go to space...

      When he went up in 1962, I was 5. I remember sitting on my parent's bed listening to the whole thing unfolding on the radio, and going to the window to look for him in the sky LOL Another Starman has moved into his preferred realm.
