This is an update on Chris Cornell.

Story.

Sadly the cause of death is suicide.

From the site:

"It is my opinion that death was caused by hanging," Wayne County assistant medical examiner Theodore Brown wrote in his post mortem report in documents obtained by Rolling Stone. "Based on the circumstances surrounding this death and the autopsy findings, the manner of death is suicide."

Brian Elias, the chief of operations for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, confirmed the death, in Palos Verdes Estates, and said it was being investigated as a possible suicide after law enforcement authorities responded to a call shortly after 9 a.m..
