8 years of Satanism

What has Satanism done for you? For me it has opened my eyes to critical thinking, to taking stances, etc. From a philosophical point of view, it has given me a foundation to grow into the adult I am today (just kidding I am still a kid). It made me learn to love myself. To appreciate myself. To respect myself. Also I learned a lot about what thoughts and ideas are, where they come from, how a unique starting point of an idea can give way to a plethora of variations and differents paths to develop it. It has allowed me to think for myself, but also to comprehend and understand other's thoughts, even if I disagree with them.

Also, magic, demons and other cool occult stuff.

What about you? Not only Satanism but any Left-Hand path works.

I don't identify as Satanist but my work as a Demonolator and working with cthonic and demonised deities taught me that thete is ALWAYS two sides to the mythology (sometimes 3 or 4 sides). Discernment and critical thinking are definitely skills honed while exploring the stories and histories of certain deities, and are skills I still apply to stories and mythologies I read now.

This is what you have to look forward to after 30 years as a Satanist. We go from having all these cool things like black robes and smexy black eyeliner...to telling people to f off and not have to wake up on Sunday for church..

Happy Anniversary.

The LHP has taught me most of the same things you mentioned, SeanRave. Working with the Qliphoth has been a different experience; it has taught me a great deal about my spiritual heritage, the interconnectedness between science and Kabbalistic cosmology and has changed my perceptions of Biblical and Talmudic lore.
