Terribly sorry to hear that Vol. I'll be praying for your nephew and family, what a hard time this must be.

You don't have to have met him to not feel sadness for his loss. You knew about it, I am sure you have seen pictures. There is love there and the loss of a child is always a painful one. I know you don't need me to explain what I think your feeling. I am so so very sorry for your loss. I would be devastated.

Today, I watched the two divisions of the Arkansas Derby, and the CGI version of the Fantasy Kentucky Derby run by all previous winners. It helped. But it just wasn't Derby Day. I hope it's normal next year.

Humanity has once again disgusted me. I don't normally indulge in arguments with people on facebook as I think its a waste of time but definitely did when Tater Tot Reeves decided to not extend the hold on evictions to July like the Care Act has ordered. As of May 8th, if you are behind on your rent you can be evicted. And of course it was a waste of my time. I was told I was a socialist because I think a roof over your head is a human right and that you shouldn't be evicting people during a pandemic when the government has granted emergency funds to give these landlords money for mortgage payments...

Besides that... How's everyone doing? Do I really need to do a reintroduction post? I've missed you all.

Good to see you kalyn. We've missed you as well. It sucks that they are trying to evict people. Right now we are having issues with the stupid Coronavirus. A lot of people have lost their jobs and unfortunately they can't pay their rent or other basics. Which is terrible. I hope that this is resolved soon.

I started my new job at McDonald's. It was my first full day of working. God after I worked I was in so much pain. I got a lot of icy hot products. I also took some muscle spasm medicine. It's been a long time since I have worked an 8 hour shift on my feet. It's worth it though for a job and money. I need a job to help support myself and my family. So right now, until I graduate I plan to stay with McDonald's.

Congrats and I hope it goes well! I worked part time at a McD's in 1975. I wonder how different it is working there today. There was no breakfast, chicken, or drive through yet back then. The entire menu was hamburger, cheeseburger, Big Mac, quarter pounder, fries, shakes, sodas, coffee/tea and fried apple pies. Maybe the fillet-o-fish, maybe that came right after I left - not sure.

Congratulations on the new job! McDonalds was my first job and I enjoyed it very much. Being on your feet will get easier as you go, make sure you've got some good shoes.

Thanks everyone. It's been a while since I have been working on my feet for about 8 hours. The last time was in Sheetz. That's been about 2 years. So I got to get my muscles built back up. I can do it! I also am looking forward to the vision and dental insurance after a month of working. I definitely need it. I got to get a crown.

                          Hi Anubisa!
I just started a physical job from pretty sedentary as well. It still hurts, but I think maybe I am noticing improvement. Fortunately, the part that hurts most is supposed to be temporary. I hope.

Thanks for all the well wishes and support, guys. I needed to take a bit of time away before I responded. The funeral was last Monday, I could not attend. I spoke to my brother on the phone that day though, for the first time since we've become adults (8ish or so years). It was hard and sad to listen to him describe the accident and his feelings. I think he's going to pull through this okay though, and I haven't been as sad since we spoke. I think I felt a lot of guilt for not being around, but talking to him made me realize it's okay.

He's grown up into a good kid. Not sure if I can still call him a kid when he's 28, but...he's still a good kid. Things are still a little sad, but I think they'll be okay.

I'm feeling like crap. I pulled a muscle in my lower back. Since about Friday I have been taking two muscle relaxers and an occasional muscle spasm medicine. It was helping but now it is starting back up again. I'm hoping it will go away soon.

I read something about how a triangle of stars in space may or may not equal 180 degrees because space and time warp. I can sort of picture that and it fascinates me.
