Ok i didn't know which thread to put this in without derailing anything. So... fox has an interesting take on Denmark and socialism... apparently no-one here wants to work. And imagine not being in debt for the rest of your life to take an education oh no, right? Gotta correct some stuff...
There's too much so I won't catch it all.
Yes. The high tax thing is true. But it's our social security network. I can take an education and not have to worry about where my next meal is coming from, we can focus on learning (and we cant study forever as they claim. There is a set limit for how long you can claim money studying. There are also requirements for passing exams and attending classes).
I have free access to doctors and hospitals, about 80% of my shrink bill is covered for me. if I get sick I will never have to worry about paying my medical bills. If I lose my job i can get help sustaining myself and finding a new one. If I lose my home, I can get help.
My grandmother gets help with shopping and cleaning for free, and a nurse comes to her home every morning to help with her diabetes medication.
That's just the tax. The car thing isn't true. Though the taxes are high, they're environmental taxes. Something we care a lot about.
The one with the muncipalieties is hilarious. I'm guessing they count everyone, not just the ones who are actually old or young enough to work cause we have the lowest unemployment rates in years.
Anyway. I felt like I had to adress some of this bulls**t.
