Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

The surgery was not a 100% success but she should be entirely out of danger for another 10 or so years.
Good to hear sean,,I am kind of in that boat with heart issues, but no surgery. just diabetes and the minor stroke I had, doing better now.
but at 70,I know it is a matter of time, funny that I have dodged so many bullets,I am surprised I made it to this ripe old age.
MAGIC is MAGIC,black OR white or even blood RED

Glad she's going to be alright. Heart surgery is always a risk. My aunt has to have heart surgery every 10 years, because her valves got infected a few years ago. The doctors found out in time and replaced them. Lots of good wishes to your mom!
So happy to hear she's doing better. Wishing her a smooth recovery and some peace. You too.

That is great news! The people I have known who have had heart surgery have done surprisingly well, surprisingly quickly. I hope she has just such a speedy and effective recovery.
