    Astronomy Lasers

These lasers are alot of fun they actually appear to touch the stars. You have to avoid pointing them at airplanes because they can blind the pilots. Pilots have actually been issued special glasses to reduce the effects of the lasers on their eyes if theyre hit by one. This is a cheap one they have high dollar ones that can start fires and burn the skin. they have tips you can put on the beam and make laser light shows to but I think they were originally designed to point out constellations and stuff.

I was being facetious. I'd imagine any laser pointer that can 'start fires and burn the skin' is ill suited as a toy for anyone. But it sounds like a neat tool for astronomy purposes. I wonder (for real this time) how effective it could be in large presentation environments. I'm thinking like TedTalk kind of situations or if even that is close range enough to cause damage if the laser is pointed stationary too long.
