    Going crayish trapping tomorrow

Crayfish aren't commonly harvested in Michigan, unlike some of the southern states, so I figure that it oughtta be fairly easy to trap enough for dinner.

I just finished making two traps, and tomorrow I'll be heading out in the kayak to try them out.

    Wish me luck!

            I got nothin.

I'm going to try setting the traps out overnight, somewhere.

I believe crawdads are nocturnal. Do they live that far north?

I had to dissect a crawdad in high school. I still smell formaldehyde just looking at one. It has been decades, and I still don't think I will ever eat one. My loss, I'm sure.

Wow - I never heard of that. Frogs & pigs, but not crawdads. (In my college Anatomy class, it was cats. That was kinda creepy.)

Ha, yeah. We started with mussels and moved up to frogs. I don't eat mussels or frogs either. I can't remember if there was another animal in between, but for us, the frog was the most complex. I keep thinking I'm going to try mussels, but I never do.
