  • Home made dog food

My old beagle is having digestive issues & low appetite, so the vet talked me into making dog food.

Weirdly, even thought I'm using stuff intended for humans, it is actually cheaper than canned gunk.
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

I make homemade dog food periodically for the old pup as a treat. Usually just ground meat, rice, sweet potatoes, maybe ends of green beans if I got em, peas, bone broth if I have it, carrots, etc.

He's fussy and doesn't always eat his dog food - so sometimes a little treat on top encourages him to eat the whole thing.

If it's worth making a good pb and j for a person, it's worth making a good peckers lips and assholes sandwich for a dog, amiright?

I don't have a dog right now, but when I do, they only eat lamb.

I've mostly been giving my dogs homemade treats for the past year because it's lower in cost and I know what's actually in it. Absolutely worth the effort in my opinion.
