    Hello to you all

    I'm an anthropology PhD (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 1980). I'm retired but I have a couple of websites that keep me busy. One is a discussion of Javanese mysticism (Sumarah), which I researched in Solo, Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, and practice. The other is a scathing critique of the postmodern world, western 'civilization' and mankind overall.

    Something that humanity has produced that is of real beauty is the practice of ahimsa: the rest, not so much. You can get a fuller picture of my worldview in the Frantic Suicide Pact post I put in the Rants & Decline of Humanity forum today.
