Ginger 'beer' (non-alcoholic) is a good ginger ale type option - I don't know if you can get it in England, but I get Reed's from the local Trader Joe's. Spicy stuff, but great for the stomach. You can also make your own carbonated ginger beverage - blend some ginger, squeeze out the juice & add to soda or sparkling water.

You can't get it in Germany. I bet you can get it in England but we have a lot fewer options than they do.
Our largest supermarkets are about the size of a small one in Canada (and probably the US). I think, that if I didn't know how to make most things myself, I'd be so screwed because we just don't have variety.
