I have so many crystals that I don't know what they are. I had a little study sheet thing to remind me but I lost it :/

    So...
    1. It black and it has white/grey patches and the patches look kinda look like snowflakes?[/quote]

    proly snowflake obsidian

    2. Jade-y green with flecks of clear crystal marbling through it.
    maybe adventurine, possibly amazonite

    3. Dark blue with uneven streaks of blue and grey.
    Maybe soladite

    4. It's black with pink (or maybe pink with black?) It's pretty evenly both
    Mebbe Rhondite

    5. This one is sort of opaque yet clear in some spaces. When you move it around it sort of reflects light
    A tumbled quartz?

    6. This one is a yellow crystal with some snowy crystal in some parts.
possibly (yellow) calcite (it comes in different colors), maybe citrine

    7. The next one is a rust color and it looks like theres glitter in it.
The color sounds like carnelian...but I've never seen it with a 'glittery' look....maybe sunstone?

    8. This one is forest-y green with marbling of grey and clear crystal
    nothing really comes to mind...

    9. Last one I don't know to describe it to you. It's grey kinda but there are parts where it reflects light and it's like rainbow when it does. Does that make sense?

“You have never answered but you did not need to. If I stand at the ocean I can hear you with your thousand voices. Sometimes you shout, hilarious laughter that taunts all questions. Other nights you are silent as death, a mirror in which the stars show themselves. Then I think you want to tell me something, but you never do. Of course I know I have written letters to no-one. But what if I find a trident tomorrow?" ~~Letters to Poseidon, Cees Nooteboom

“We still carry this primal relationship to the Earth within our consciousness, even if we have long forgotten it. It is a primal recognition of the wonder, beauty, and divine nature of the Earth. It is a felt reverence for all that exists. Once we bring this foundational quality into our consciousness, we will be able to respond to our present man-made crisis from a place of balance, in which our actions will be grounded in an attitude of respect for all of life. This is the nature of real sustainability.”
    ~~Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee

"We are the offspring of history, and must establish our own paths in this most diverse and interesting of conceivable universes--one indifferent to our suffering, and therefore offering us maximal freedom to thrive, or to fail, in our own chosen way."
~~Stephen Jay Gould, Wonderful Life: The Burgess Shale and the Nature of History

"Humans are not rational creatures. Now, logic and rationality are very helpful tools, but there’s also a place for embracing our subjectivity and thinking symbolically. Sometimes what our so-called higher thinking can’t or won’t see, our older, more primitive intuition will." John Beckett

Just bought a book today "Healing Crystals and Gemstones, From Amethyst to Zircon" by Dr. Flora Peschek-Böhmer and Gisela Schreiber. ^.^ it was on sale for $9.98... yay! so much easier than having to scan the internet... and the other book on gemstones I saw was like $20 and there was two volumes (given its probably on more different gemstones) but i picked it up and really liked it.

Could be spectrolite too, I guess? (pictures from google I think it's usually a bit more grayish than the google suggests.. I guess they put online just the most colourful ones )

    So...
    1. You're right!! it's snowflake obsidian

    2. I'm pretty sure you were right with it being adventurine. It's hard to tell with pics but it looks pretty acurate

    3. Sodalite I'm not sure about. It looks like it could be but not at the same time...

    4. Right on the money. It's rhondite

    5. I'm not sure that this one is tumbled quartz. The only one that could potential match is the snow tumbled quartz but I'm not sure..

    6. This one however is tumbled quartz "Tumbled Rutilated Quartz" from Brazil... oooohhh...

    7. This one is definitely sunstone

    8. Hm....

    9. This one is definitely not moonstone.. I wonder...

ok, how would you visualize energy from you being stored in a crystal?

usually as a white light. I am usually more concerned with the energy flow rather than the color. as a naturally shaped one will send off energy in a particular direction. a polished piece will send out energy much like a sun sends out light. as far as progamming the stone
(doesn't have to be a crystal)you just think about it. if it helps visualize a white light coming from your third eye and entering the stone.

Re: Ask A Crystal Practitioner :)

Some people also light to visualise a pulsating light (if you know what i mean) radiating from the stone/crystal, and the speed of that depends on the colour and properties of the crystal itself. Depending on which stone/crystal, the light can match the energies of the chakra/place you ant to use it it, so if you were to cleanse a room that had slow negative energies, a slow pulse rate would come from the stone/crystal.
