      Re: Geek Club!

I haven't seen the new season yet either. I'm still kind of up in the air about it, honestly. I thoroughly enjoy Matt Smith as the Doctor but I don't like the scriptwriting now that Moffat is the showrunner. I thought that the last season's stories were generally atrocious, especially where internal consistency was concerned. Russel T. Davies was, in my opinion, far better for the show than his successor. Still, I like all the actors involved, so I may give it a go when I can get my hands on it.

Now, what I'm really looking forward to is the next installment of Torchwood! I can barely wait to see how Miracle Day shapes up.

I really enjoyed the first episode, and I've been a bit hit and miss with Doctor Who the last few years. I am just about to watch the 2nd episode on catch-up.

              Re: Geek Club!

I'm finally warming up to Matt Smith - he annoyed me last season and I was much more impressed with Amy. While the companions can be great (Catherine Tate!!!), they really shouldn't outshine the Doctor. It wasn't until I watched the Christmas special that I enjoyed Matt Smith, and now for the two episodes this season, he was amazing. I'm really anxious to see where they go with River Song. I like how her plot is coming together, but still don't think it made sense having her meet David Tennant. Especially with what was explained the first two episodes this season, she should really have not been surprised that David Tennant didn't know who she was.

I am warming to Matt Smith now to but the think that is making Dr Who watchable for me this season is the relationship between Amy and Rory.

Episode 4 of DW was phenomenal. I'm really enjoying Amy as a companion (I still don't really like Rory) ...and I love how Matt Smith is finally starting to shine as the Doctor. I really need those "I am the Doctor, so fear me" moments he gets (like in the most recent episode).

He is in fact an amazing Doctor. He is just having the same problem Peter Davidson had after Tom Baker. One epic Doctor followed by a damn good one. Y'know?

I like Rory and Amy... X

The relationship between Rory and Amy definitely makes the show. I love the chemistry that the three of them have going. "Got my time machine, got my boys..."

I'm really looking forward ti see where this season is heading.

Loving it!!! I was a bit hit and miss with previous series of Torchwood and was a little worried that the Americanization of it would put me off but two episodes in and I am pretty much hooked. I wish there was a bit more Rhys cause I think his character is just so likable but other than that I currently have no complaints

I think Rhys is going to be much more involved this series later on.
