Right near the end of A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. Total awesomeness.

I'm also trying to read Stuffed and Starved by Raj Patel. It's about the factors that have lead to the bizarre food situation the world is in today - more people are obese now than ever before and more people are starving now than ever before. The first few chapters were riveting but I've bogged down in it.

Last book I finished was Bridge of Birds by Barry Hughart, which was excellent. I'm currently reading "Dictionary of Demons: Names of the Damned" by Michelle Belanger (it's exactly what it sounds like).

I'm reading Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe. But to be honest, I have to stop, because all the male characters are total a-holes and I just broke up with someone and it's actually really, really upsetting when they cheat and lie and stuff.

Just finished Stephen King's 11/22/63 (excellent!) and am starting Dean Koontz's 77 Shadow St. (excellent so far!)

I am currently reading on my Kindle (birthday pressie from my Dad) The Time Machine by H.G. Wells.

I forgot how much I loved this book.

I'm reading Stephen King's The Shining for the first time. It's a really good book and I can't believe Stanley Kubrick made that travesty of a film based on it.

I also recently read Coraline by Neil Gaiman. It was a fun read for a children's book.
Children love and want to be loved and they very much prefer the joy of accomplishment to the triumph of hateful failure. Do not mistake a child for his symptom.

Lotus Leaves by Dona G. Kelley. It seemed appropriate to re-read it after 4 years or so.

Currently reading The Warlord Trilogy by Bernard Cornwall. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantasy/historical fiction/Arthurian themed novels

Reading book one of the Iron Druid Chronicles, Hounded, by Kevin Hearne. If you like Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, you'll like this book.

A really good book to read is "Indian givers" sub titled "How the Indians of the Americas transformed the world"
It really does inform on what the Native Americans contributed to our world.

The Road to Reality: A Complete Guide to the Laws of the Universe, by Roger Penrose. 1045 pages. I'm only on page 13, but I feel smarter already.
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.
