Ship of Fools, by Paul Russo.

I haven't read hard science fiction (aside from free classics) for a long while. This one is excellent!

Just got a loose copy of Gullveigarbok by Vexior. It's one of the first publications of Norse Chaos magic, and the there were only a small amount of actual copies made. My penpale ended up copying his own book for me, and sending it to me all the way from New Zealand. Very excited to read it.

I'm reading Celtic Goddesses by Miranda Green - good stuff, with quite a bit of archaeology thrown in.
And I've just finished Travelling with the Dead, by Barbara Hambly, the second in a series of vampire novels. I hadn't realised it was the second one until I got into it, and it was so good that I'm going to have to find the first one now.

Omg the film is amazing. They really did a good job with matching the feel of the book.

I saw that Movie..it really depressed me..It was kinda clear there was not going to be a happy ending ever....But it did show the whole truth as to the subject..

Seriously. It's a book I now put on the do not touch list. Like I don't listen to Pink Floyd. I don't watch aspca commercials. I have to steer clear of certain things. That book is definitely one of them. That and The Strain trilogy really did me in.

There are certain things I steer clear of these days..some of them are from my druggie days..I used to hang with a bad crowd..At one point I had the big "Moment of clarity" and quit the drugs and drink and bad stuff. I have been called "The Brain" by some,because I am VERY intelligent,tested high IQ in the 170's,but smart is not always good if you think you are above others because you can be very stupid even when you think you are smart. I am tall(almost 6 foot) wiry,thin but strong(catches people off guard) Basically a nice,good person with a little black heart hidden that steps out sometimes. People I really do not always get,why they do the things they do. Logic tells me if I rob a bank,I most likely will end up in jail,so I don't. Others try that and find not that much money for jail for 10-15 years,no logic in that. Even 100,000 bucks only gonna take you maybe 4 years living on $25,000 a year,almost less than minimum wage,so not worth the risk at all.

So,I am mostly an honest person because I hate the idea of being caged.

I am always surprised I made it to this age(68) thought I would buy it a lot younger(And almost did a few times) Now I answer to Grandpaw to the GK's,and the trip was worth it just for them...Over and out.
