This was kind of a shock to me. I know she was an addict, but wow.

I really loved her voice & her style - she stood out, however briefly, from the standard poptarts on the radio.

I have to say I am not surprised. Unfortunately she had serious drug and alcohol problems that she never really managed to deal with and I have felt for a long time that she would die soon. I truly am sad for her family, and it is a great loss to the music industry.

I turn 27 soon so it feels just that much more crazy to me. I can't imagine having abused my body to the point where I'd die this year. It's such a waste...she was so talented.

She had such huge talent! I'm so sad that she couldn't work through her problems. I hope the next life is more peaceful for her.

We don't know yet what caused her death. No drugs were found in her home. Should find out today the cause of death. X

Apparently none in her system either. I'm guessing it's some sort of organ failure brought on by the stress of heavy drug use, sort of like Jim Morrisson had a heart attack because he drank too much (but wasn't drunk at the time of his death).

Im a big time metalhead so it kinda takes a special artist whos non metal to move me since most of these people dont write their own music or lyrics but i gotta admit i liked amy winehouse she was one of the few non metal artists i did like.
