the Samhain thread: decor, food, etc

Totally awesome DIY (recycled) Halloween decorations:

I don’t mean to frighten anyone, but it’s almost September, which will be all too quickly followed by October, which means if you haven’t yet, you’d better start thinking about Halloween decorations!  You’ll be glad I reminded you, because it will give you plenty of time to save up a  collection of empty milk jugs.  […]

Cool! I can't believe I didn't see this sooner....I've had so many crafts I've wanted to do this year...trying to stick them all in a file so I can next year when I'm feeling better!

My roommate has littered our yard with cornshocks and little ghosts. He's also made a bunch of handcrafted decorations of vampires, witches, tombstones and such which he's trying to sell. They're well-made but people are such tightwads.

I imagine I'll be making my usual pumpkin cookies and pumpkin bread.

I just had a gothgasm. I have to do that now...although, I worry about the little raven. I'd probably put it somewhere it wasn't in contact with food.
