I'm from Lubbock, so this doesn't really surprise me. Lubbock is one of the most conservative wacko places I've ever been, and I've been a helluva lot of places. Lubbock is the place that elected Randy Neugebauer, the guy who yelled "baby killer" a coupla years back for no apparent reason during a congressional thing, and the ex mayor turned away a planeload of Katrina refugees. Lubbock is a hellhole of overzealous conservatives who hate everyone who isn't exactly like them.

So, in light of all that, I kinda view this as something so Lubbocky that it can't be taken too seriously.

The far left can be just as nutty, they're just less open about it. Mostly because there aren't any places that are rampantly liberal, at least not in the same way that there are places that are rampantly conservative.

I'd agree with Denarius.

The way both sides came out over, for example, gay marriage the last presidential election cycle here in California. It got crazy. I don't particularly being told I'm a scummy breeder and am raping the earth for choosing to have two children any more then I like being told I am barely more then a womb.
