Interview with the Vampire was a fairly boring book. I didn't finish it, and if the subtle eroticism everyone says was there actually was, I either didn't get that far in the book or I'm too thick to read the subtext.

People should have to pass a test to both own pets and have children.

The government should offer an upfront payment to women over the age of 14 who agree to have a contraceptive implant or similarly reliable method of contraception installed. Ditto for men if they ever find a long term but reversible contraceptive method.

That homo sapiens are a dead-end, a dead and dying branch on the phylogenetic tree. Our short stay, on the pages of history, that the universe may or may not delight in, is very finite. There most definitely will be an end to the most arrogant, nearsighted, and self important species this planet has ever been witness to.

I suspect, and am reasonable sure that this end will be far, far sooner than the 4+ billion years of life the planet would be quite fortunate to achieve. In fact, I feel that it's safe to say our kind won't live even a tenth of the tenure we find dinosaurs had.

A couple million years? Too optimistic. Total fantasy and a symptom of our collective arrogance and self importance.

I would discourage you from listening to them, if you never have. It's just my personal opinion that they aren't as great as people keep saying. They've got catchy tunes, not gonna deny that, and the new song has been stuck in my head for hours, which is driving me bonkers.

I would even get rid of my computer if I didn't need it for three of my businesses.

I think that elderly people should have to take a driver's test to be able to keep driving. Hell, I think that not-elderly people probably should too. I'm not adverse to having to do a driver's test every ten years.

Things change. Cars change. Road rules change. The road is not the same place it was sixty years ago. And it will not be the same place by the time I'm in my eighties.
