    Hey look! It's Westboro again...

    Yup - they intend to go to Sandy Hook and sing praises to God for his great work...

        It's times like this that freedom of speech can be really irritation. You wouldn't be allowed to do that here, and I think that's an infringement. I think you -should- be allowedto be as offensive as you want...I just think that people shouldn't act on that freedom. I really wish they wouldn't.

          I'm usually not bothered by these people because they're literally nobodies, but this is a new effing low, even for them. Violence doesn't usually come to my mind, but this really makes me want to beat all of them and their kids in the head with a wrench.
          Children love and want to be loved and they very much prefer the joy of accomplishment to the triumph of hateful failure. Do not mistake a child for his symptom.

            You are not alone. New low. They are asking for violence.

            In retaliation, Anonymous hacked many Westboro websites and the Twitter account. Also found one source claim that they changed the Head Whachamacallit's desktop to a gay porn screen. I like those hackers.

            Perhaps some pagans should hold a ritual during a Westboro funeral (Wouldn't be that disrespectful...but ).

                Honestly two radical groups smashing against each other works well for me, and Westboro was asking for worse (If you use such sorrowful moments to push views, then you should expect emotional lash out. The "Internet Vigilantes" did that for people this time) Better than someone acting violently, and keeps people from holding too much anger within. They satisfied people's "eye for an eye" without an eye.

                  ...To be perfectly honest, I imagine many of them are younger than some of us think, I would bet there are quite a few children involved, but it is time someone who needs a good kick in the teeth got one for a change.

                  But I don't hate annonymous for this, I think it is one of the better outcomes. Diddn't the vigil get canceled because of a bomb threat anyway? That was supposed to have been on sunday.

                      I'm with you on this one. Westboro takes any form of retaliation as "proof" that God is on their side. Ever see that video where somebody threw a rock through the window of their van? They're so deluded they think of themselves as martyrs to their cause.

                      I'll admit that some evil part of me deep inside would like to see them all gunned down, but my rational side doesn't wish that on anyone. They can't be arrested for exercising their Constitutional rights and there's no way every member of their opposition will agree to ignore them. Maybe their youngest members will grow up with more rational minds and the nutty ones will die off.

                        The nutty ones are raising the young ones, and people are actually marrying into this nutty family too, One can hope that they will "die off" but I don't feel like this is likely to happen. If only some of what they do that involves the young children was cassified as child abuse they could be taken away and raised by a different set of nutters... Why doesn't that make me feel better?

I don't remember her name, I just remember she left the church and the family because she could see how f'd up they were. But yeah, not likely, hence why I usually try to pretend they don't exist.

                              Not on your behalf. But think, where there was 1 Adam, there are likely to be more somewhere. If a person like that is set off for some "moral" reason, they may decide to make literal Martyrs out of Westboro. One marine with PTSD at a friends funeral, one grieving parent with an AKMS. Aroound here, Anonymous seemed o take some of the edge off of the matter.

                              Laugh at both the "a-holes" and move on.

                              One question, though: how does Westboro get enough money to travel so much?
