The reaction I got from the girl working the drive-thru at BK.

A small vanilla shake, with my order, and the straw? To go with said cup? Still in the package: HUGE. Better than a half inch diameter!

So... I said, "That's not a straw. That's a TAMPON!"

Poor girl's eyes about popped out of her head, as she turned several shades of red.


Then I turned to look at her and covered my mouth with my hand, as if to say, 'oops, was that out loud?' Like she had opened the window/slide without me knowing.

What makes me smile even more? Almost a full LOL (but not quite)? The rest of the people inside the restaurant that ALSO heard me... and seeing THEIR reactions.

I invited my friends to go sing karaoke with me for my birthday tonight after work.

One said "yes." The rest turned me down.
The one that said "yes," didn't show up.
One of the ones that said "no," showed up anyway... but she acted like I wasn't there.

But... there were two women who were there, who share my birthday... and they were also there alone. We decided to take over the bar, and make it our party.

We had a blast, and by the end of the night, damn near everyone in the bar had, at least, offered to buy us drinks.

So, screw everyone that stood us up! We had a blast, and that makes me smile.
