What Is Your Wand Made Out Of?

The one I actually use the most is mad of Oak or Sweetgum. I really don't remember anymore. I do have a crystal in the tip. However, this isn't the only wand that I own. I also have one that is made from a Chinaberry tree from my apartment's back yard that I use with my coven and another from driftwood that I collected at the beach for ocean themed spells. I like to have opinions when doing my magickal workings. The one I am currently working on that will replace all others is going to be made from a combination of wood and metal. The metal is actually from a rod that originally kept my ankle fused together but after the bone set I had an infection so they had to remove it. I asked to keep it. Purple colored titanium should make for an interesting wand. lol

I don't actually use one (nor have I ever) but I find wands and walking sticks to be absolutely gorgeous.

Here's one I made for a friend. It started life as a drum stick since some believe the wand can be traced back to the shaman's drumstick.
I used a wood burner to put the vine and leaves in it. She identifies with a wolf so I also carved a paw print into it.

I have three different wands. I use it quite often when it comes to creating my circle, placing energy, ect.

My first wand is the branch of a local tree. I carved off the bark to leave it with a smooth finish, and I etched some symbols into it.

My second wand was given to me by a friend. I'm not exactly sure what the base is made of, but there is copper wrapped around it. The ends have metal, and hold a clear quartz point and clear quartz marble.

My third wand is my favorite visually. I bought it from the nearby metaphysical shop. The base is made of clear glass, but because of the positioning of the small gemstones, their color (and thus their energy) is reflected into it. these gemstones are rose quartz, ruby, and rainbow moonstone. They are held together with streams of liquid metal that hardened over. Both ends have clear quartz points.

Of course, I also use gemstone/crystal wands if the working calls for it. Lazer Quartz, Rose Quartz, Angelite, Smokey Quartz, Citrine, Selenite, Watermelon Tourmaline, and my new Moss Agate Wand.
