I daresay Thor will accept anything that's offered to him with a pure heart. Except broken bones. Jointed meat is OK, but do not cut or break the bones. Also, do not keep a knife sharpening flint or stone near his shrine. He has a piece of flint shrapnel in his head from his fight with Hrungnir. Otherwise, I think he's happy to receive anything else. There are non-alcoholic beers, ales and wines. Remember, he likes to party, but if you need to alcohol or get drunk to party, it's not a very good party, is it?

Or if you didn't want to do that, you could maybe start a garden plot and dedicate it to him? His storms would have often been good for the farmers and their crops. Or you could participate in something to help farmers, like donating your time or money to a charity that supports farmers. Or just a men's support group of some kind, we have a thing called 'The Men's Shed' here in Australia, or Movember, those sorts of things would probably be great to support in Thor's name.
    ^ This.

    Also, from http://www.northernpaganism.org/shri...offerings.html

Service Offerings: Donate time to an organization dedicated to protecting children from abuse. Help someone move or do some other sort of heavy work for someone in need of it. Protect the needy. Escort someone to do something that scares them, and be there as a source of courage and moral support for them.
I'd include donations of any kind to police, fire and EMS organizations... they protect and help others. A periodic donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the ASPCA (animals need protection too, and are often forgotten) are good. Buy a $10, $15, $25 gift card at a supermarket and give it to some random stranger who looks like they need a little help with their grocery bill. Anything that protects and helps those who need it, imo, are more dear to Thor than the biggest horn of mead or ale. He's hard on the outside, but a big moosh on the inside.

Thanks for that Thorbjorn! Can I ask, do you have any good prayers to Thor? I wish for him to help me with my self-confidence and self-esteem along with a few other things. I'm not too good with "speaking from the heart" as often times I can never find the words to truly articulate the way I feel. Do you have any ideas on how to go about this?

I have a couple I've gotten off the internet.

Hail, Thor, Lord of the Hammer!
Lord of the Storm, rumbling chariot
        That tears across the sky,
        Lord who speaks plainly
And has no time for intrigue
        And subtle ploys,
        Protector of the common man,
        Warrior beloved by farmers,
Help us to untwist our tongues
        And speak the fiery truth
        Hurled blazing like a hammer-bolt
        Across the open sky!

        ------------------

Son of Fury, Father of Strength,
        Child of the all-bearing Earth,
        Mjollnir's master, Midgard's shield,
        Warding all wights of worth;

        Courage your hammer, confidence-gloved,
        Valor the staff you wield;
        Bravery your belt, thundering Thor
        Fiercely holding the field.

Greatest of gods, grant us your grit,
        Vingnir, wielder of power,
That we meet life and all its strife
        Head-on in every hour.

        ---------------------

God of the weather, chariot of the storm,
        Master of rain and torrents,
Son of the strength of Mother Earth,
I ask you to grant me that strength for myself.

You who are so great that you cannot walk
Across the Rainbow Bridge without breaking it,
You whose tree is the mighty oak,
O Thunor, grant me that unending sturdiness.

Let me not break beneath the blows of misfortune.

Keep me from being crushed when the powerful
Stomp their large feet on the smaller ones below.

You who are the guardian of the common man,
You who care for the farmers and workers,
Look upon me here in this place where I am
Only one of many, and protect my steps.

Make me resilient and mighty as your own arm,
Make me unbreakable, you who are Friend of Man.

I ask for one small percentage of the vigor
Of the right arm of the Thunderer,
That I might brave the tempest
And stand firm in the gales.

        ----------------------------

This is a book you can read part of on the 'net A Devotional: Honoring Thor and Family. You can't copy or print from this link, only read. I think I'm going to order the book, myself.

Thank you so much I really appreciate it! Having worked with Thor quite a bit, is he good with helping with self-confidence and esteem issues? What other issues have you found him good to help with?

            You're welcome.

The short answer is "yes". He is not only God to me, but a hero as well. I daresay that I'm changing a lot of my thinking and views of myself and other situations because of my love and reverence for him. One thing is that I am losing my fear of speaking out and defending myself. That is, not being a victim of myself and others. I try to keep in mind WWTD... "what would Thor do?" (punch first, talk later if at all ). Another thing he is pushing me with, or rather helping, because I asked him to, is progress in the gym. I promised him I would take my weight training to the highest level I can. I asked only in return that he help me keep to it.
