    Re: Pagan Altars

My altar is small but capable for a solitaire.

I don't usually like store bought, bulk manufactured 'witchy' tools, but I actually really like your pentacle Cedrus. While I normally cringe when I see alter items with pentagrams on them, it is kinda necessary on a pentacle so I can overlook that. It's really smart-looking.

That's a lovely necklace. Is it a triquetra with leaves and flowers?

I've hesitated for years about putting up a picture of my shrine, but I've decided to change that. Here's from this morning with a peony from my mom's bushes.

Really nice! Thanks for deciding to share!

I just moved mine last night before I left for work. The shelf it was on, was right next to one of the places I make up my futon and although I tried not to, it always ended up with junk on it: earings I'd forgotton to take out, my hand cream, flashcards... It just wasn't working. I might take a picture, although honestly, there's not much to see right now.

Thank you, Jembru! I know how that goes about the sacred space getting cluttered too. If you look closely you'll see I have too many ritual items sorta collected in the shrine cabinet. I need to fix that...

                        ^ very nice!

So far, so good with my new altar. It is still under a shelf, so I can only light tealites and must blow them as soon as I leave the altar, which is a shame, because I used to like leaving them lit while I read a book or attended to one of my hobbies. Maybe I should invest in some of those electric candles, just to get the old ambience back. Roll on August when I (all going to plan), take over tenancy of my flat and move into the larger bedroom!

Thanks I wish I could get a good picture of the ceiling. We drew a bunch of constellations with the glow in the dark stars and chalk. It looks really sweet! Kind of childish maybe but FUN.
