So I'm in charge of ordering supplies for our store. OMG have you tried the lavender highlighter markers?! Amazing. I can spend forever ordering stuff from Staples.

Lavender?? No.. but I'd be all over them. The sharpie pens were a pack of two slightly different shades of pink and only cost £1. I was so pleased when I found them. I definitely brought them home because they were lying around unopened in the cupboard for weeks. I burnt some podcasts onto a cd to listen to at work last night and thought that was a perfect time to open them. Went to the cupboard and *poof* vanished. They'll turn up but that won't change the fact my cd is labeled in black sharpie... Forever...

    Be still, my heart.

I woke up at 2am the other night and ended up not being able to go back to sleep because I couldn't stop myself from scrolling through studyblrs until 6 in the morning. Then I spent $20 on Mildliners before I went yard sale shopping.

It's going to be in the 50s tomorrow, yet i'm frigging hot as heck right now. Even my fan isn't cooling me down. I wonder if i'm going through early menopause. Can't though because I have to take hormones b/c my body doesn't make them. Got to get cool!

Movie is listed under my "Top Picks" in Netflix, but its "Best Guess For You" rating is 1.7. Hmmmmm, nice try, Netflix.

Don't get me wrong. I like Netflix and I use it all the time. We've had it here for a year and a half and because a lot of shows now debut on Netflix before they show up on German TV, I think it's pretty great. But its algorithms need work. Spotify can guess my music tastes almost perfectly with only a few exceptions (Missy Elliot? Really Spotify? Nothing against her, but really not my thing). I use Netflix a LOT more and it can't even sort of guess what shows or movies I might like, despite the fact that I am a lot more consistent with my movies and TV tastes (basically, I only watch fantasy, sci-fi and superhero shows and movies, with the odd BBC period drama thrown in).

Comcast Cable here, also tries to judge your taste in Movies. Their AI is not as good as they try to stress in advertising...They also do a thing called "trending" that I guess judges popularity(and everyone I guess follows the popular choice)

I like to guess how youtube suggests videos for me. The ones I've already watched, true enough, but not useful. But there is usually at least one outlier or new theme that baffles me.

I won my small claims case today. First time I've been in a courtroom since the 80's! I wonder if I'll ever actually collect.

Can you hear me, Major Tom? I think I love you.
