My wife is now home and doing better. Yet still a lot on our minds for certain. Still don't know what caused it but she's now on a few pills and of course the changes the doctors suggest. Lots of things to look at and consider as we try to move forward and figure out things.


One series of stresses start to drop as the grand-children are now feeling safe and secure again their world back in order.

I live in Hardy county just south of Moorefield. It's on the East side of the state just west of the Virginia state line about an hour and change from the city of Harrisonburg.

Saw the news about the storm in California(southern) and they called the storm "bombogenesis" a word I have never seen before.

Thinking about how I can't believe tis snowing *yet again*, and wondering how many snowstorms we'll have this Winter . . . Seems like we get the most snow in February every year. u.u'

I'm also fretting a little about applying for an apartment . . . Keep me and my twin in good thoughts, maybe? ♡ Ideally hoping we can be out of our family's basement by March; we've been here since September, and we need a change of scenario, let alone get back on our own feet. :<

So, mostly just fretting over weather, and our situation.

I'm sorry this fell through. The credit thing is so annoying. While not nearly on the same scale as your disappointment, both JP and I were refused credit when we were buying our new coffee table. It's a designer table so wasn't cheap, but we fell in love with the design (low enough to sit at on the floor to eat Japanese style meals, which is JP's favourite food, large enough to play cards or boardgames, loads of storage space, with panels that lift up to make work surfaces to write my journals at). Neither of us have had credit cards that we regularly used. We have savings so if we want anything expensive we buy it out of there rather than on credit. We just thought it would be easier to pay for the table over 4 months from our wages rather than taking such a large lump from the savings. We both failed the check though so had to just pay in one go. Just a minor frustration compared to yours though.

I guess we'll need to take out credit cards just to get a credit history. There are some good deals on cards that actually give you money if you pay them off in full each month, so I might get one and do my groceries with it, paying the amount back from my main account. I might have to get a basic one first though, just to be accepted for those. It's an annoyingly pointless exercise, but I guess it's necessary. We always said we'd take out a loan if Dolly (cat) ever needed expensive veterinary treatment. It never occurred to me before that we could be refused a loan.

This storm yesterday kicked our butts. Flooded our freeways and took part of it away. Like washed it away...cars floating.

Our automatic glass doors have been broken for a month. So we keep them slid open. Well yesterday the wind was pushing the rain sideways..into our door. It flooded our floors. So I had to play door lady all night. I literally stood by the door opening and closing. I had to start standing on the opposite side because the rain was pelting me in the face! I even had my hoody on. It sucked.

Had a migraine today and had to go to the E.R. My dad was upset and got mad at me. On the way there I was crying because he was mad at me for spending money on the daith piercings and he thought that they weren't working. I think they're working on my headaches, but when it comes to my migraines, it's another story. What people who don't have regular headaches or migraines don't know are that they are different. I had been having this migraine for about 3 days and taken everything my headache specialist had given me. We're okay now, I just got so upset because he doesn't know what it is like to be in pain for so long nor could he handle it.

Hubby hit an emu. Now we have to do the whole insurance thing again. Thankfully it was in the truck, but he's just gone away for work so can't really start the process till he gets back, and he's not gonna come back early cos he can still drive and work and he's 130km away. But still. Dang it.
