I guess thats kinda the opposite to the norm, people usually assume that you wear a black hat and have a black cat, but in this case she was asking why that stuff was associated and if it bothered me.

I'm amused by stereotypes dealing with black. I wear all black to work all the time, this is not required by the company, it's just what I end up wearing. This draws almost no comment. Only time it really comes up is when either

    1) the entire company is wearing black for a day
    2) the company asks people to wear specific non-black colors

Anytime I have a beard however, that is a different story. A friend has decided that I'm Santa on vacation from the arctic due to my beard.

"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

Sometimes I have a beard, sometimes I don't. It grows quickly when I let it and dies quickly when I get tired of it.

I used to wear a pentagram ring at work (a nursing home). I had many residents think i was jewish others were convinced i worshipped satan. They would then attempt to save my soul all i could do was smile and nod. Who am I to question the spiritual beliefs of those near death. I stopped wearing my ring it bothered my residents and my coworkers treated me differently

Recently, a facebook post by a Christian friend included " For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry."

Hmmmmm, I didn't know I was living that way. When's the party starting?????

You don't get invited to orgies, you come across them.
Trust is knowing someone or something well enough to have a good idea of their motivations and character, for good or for ill. People often say trust when they mean faith.
