Deep Sea 'Mushrooms' Defy Classification In The Tree Of Life
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

Thats really cool and i am sure we will find more new animals. Nature continues to grow develop and adapt. I wouldnt be suprised if we find more species believec to be extinct

The more we learn about the world, the more we realise how much we have to learn. Who knows how many new species, under new categories, exist in the world that we have yet to find. I find it quite exciting.

                Also, Australian everything is awesome.

Well, back to the drawing board .... haven't had a new kingdom since the 20th century.

Might have some connection to how environment has changed(like dead zones in the oceans) This creature might have been around but hidden until conditions changed for it to show up higher in the ocean rather than very deep.

Nah, its more like a "new" phyla...or a remaining intermediate between two phyla.

Like when we discovered that coelecanth were no longer extinct. Or when we discovered this little guy.

This article is probably better ...or the journal article itself

I think its totally cool (I think its cool anytime we find something new)...but as usual, I'm bummed in the shitty reporting of science.
