    Food Poll 5: How best do you like your eggs?

    Scrambled, fried, in quiche?

    Over easy, poached, on toast?

    Deviled, hard boil'd or soft?

    Baked, Benedict, sunny side up?

    In an omlet, in a wrap?

    Covered and smothered or salsa on that?

    I like eggs. Any way but raw.

    I don't use recipes really, I look at them sometimes and then just make stuff up. Works well, except it's a bit hard to recreate something that is awesome.

      Omelette, scrambled, quiche, or egg salad. Nothing runny. Eeeeewwwww LOL Of course my favorite egg grew up to be Buddy.

        Also, cooked through. I like runny yolk, but I will sacrifice it to have my white cooked. The body building scene is pushing me to whites only, but yolks are better, plus waste is bad.

            I'm not really big on eggs - I mostly like them included in baked goods... like cake. But, every once in awhile I will get a craving for egg salad. Which for me is seriously simple - hard-boiled eggs (mashed up), celery, green onions, dill, some Old Bay Spice, pepper & enough mayo to make it spreadable on buttered toast.

            Last night, I tried something different - I sauteed some steak strips in Greek seasoning & then topped it w/a fried egg. I don't know if mine could be considered sunny side up or what, because I like the edges crispy & the yolk runny. I usually achieve that by splashing hot oil from the pan onto the surface of the egg to cook the whites w/out overcooking the yolk. With the Greek seasoning & drippings from the steak, it came out quite fantastic.

              I do this: Scrambled then add mayo,mustard,pickle relish and melt cheese. stir all that up and spread on toast.

                Boiled egg mixed with salad cream and a touch of pepper... much better than with mayo

                I also like scrambled egg and boiled egg in a salad but I have never been a fan of fried egg, omelet or anything similar

                    In order of most superior to adequate: Cooked in any sort of way and used as a sandwich (or burger) topping, likewise as the base to a sandwich, scrambled and added to stir fry, mixed into ramen, eggs benedict, over-medium with two strips of bacon and one piece of toast or a biscuit and hash browns.

                        Went with poached, but could easily have picked 3 others...

                          I went with scrambled, but really...

                          #1: solid tie between hard scrambled, hard boiled, and fried egg on toast.
                          #2: thai omlette (this isn't a thai flavoured omlette, this is how they make eggs in thailand)

                          also acceptable: poached (if the yolk is hard. not soft yellow, HARD), cooked into fried rice, omlettes (european style thin), in salads, etc.

                          Basically any way except runny, or soft. I really can't stomach soft yolks. ....I eat a lot of eggs, by the way. Probably a dozen a week.

                            Oh, I forgot pickled eggs.

                            When we had a lot of laying hens and ducks, we were getting way too many eggs, so I started pickling the extras.
