It's been below 0 here for about a week now. I woke up yesterday, wondered why I couldn't get warm, looked at the thermometer and it said -1. promptly layered up under 2 blankets and my hoodie and holed up in my smallest room with a space heater for the day. ^^ Today is a repeat. I haven't even bothered looking at the thermometer. My hands are freezing and my scars are aching, that's clue enough for me.

This is the part where I complain that my Nordic friends haven't found me a viking yet. The addition of a large hairy man to my bed would make it much warmer.

I'm pretty sure that I'll get another Frozen Hell Day tomorrow. Schools south of us are already closing. I'm waiting for APS (school district where I work) to be added.

They'll probably do it by 8, if they're gonna do it.

Schools here have been closed all week and probably will be next week, too. Last year they had 26 snow days.

To be perfectly honest, I am properly jealous of you people, as crazy as that sounds! Better cold than hot though, to look on the bright side of things, and I do really well in cold environments, and poorly in hot environments.

Where I live our summers get up to 45 degrees Celsius (113 Fahrenheit), and typically don't drop below 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) on the coldest summer days. Its like this from late Spring until early Fall, and has never rained during during this time in my lifetime. Unlike you lucky folk we can't properly hide from the weather under a hoard of blankets to escape the weather...we just weather through it.

The winters are a welcome break from the constant feeling and threat of heat exhaustion, dehydration, and feeling like your flesh is being charred and melted from the sun's light, although some winters are still quite warm and humid, in the way that saps all your energy from you after no more than five minutes.

I guess what I am saying, in a nutshell is:

Remember, you could always have our weather.

Ahhh,it is cold somewhere when it is hot elsewhere...If you think about it,it might mean that the earth spins and goes around the sun,except maybe in a certain part of the middle east...There are times when I watch or read the news,that I almost think..Who is trying to punk me with a joke,cause that can't be the real news....right??

Its 46 degrees here with a high tomorrow of 65. sorry guys I'd take some of your cold and give you some of my warm
